This site takes quote requests and reads plans. Here is exactly what happens to both.
Checkyourtraders Ltd, a company registered in Malta (C96484), is the data controller for bathroom.mt. bathroom.mt is a trading name, not a separate company. Registered address: 35 Strait Street, Valletta VLT 1434, Malta. Email: support@checkyourtraders.com.
When you ask for quotes we ask for your name, email address, phone number, locality, budget, timing, the bathrooms and brands you picked on the board, and any plan or photo you attach. A plan can carry an address and sometimes a name, so it is treated as personal data. We need these to send your brief to the showrooms you choose and to tell you who it went to.
On submission the site stores your picks, measurements and files under a random token and gives you a private link. The showroom copy of that page shows your brief but not your contact details. The link is unguessable but not password-protected: anyone you send it to can open it.
Only the showrooms named in the reply you receive, and only because you ticked the box saying so. You can untick it and still get a reply from us. Your brief is never published and never sold.
If you photograph a paper sketch on the plan page, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API, which reads the walls, door and window positions and hands the numbers back. The engine on this site then draws the room. The photo is not stored by us and not used for anything else.
The assistant on this site answers from our own records of the showrooms and brands. Your question is not sent to an AI model and is not stored.
None. This site runs no analytics and sets no cookies. If that changes, this notice changes first and a consent bar appears before anything is loaded.

Quote requests and briefs: until the quotes are in and for as long as we may need to answer a question about them afterwards, then deleted. Sketch photos and assistant questions: not kept at all.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it. Email support@checkyourtraders.com. You can also complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta at idpc.org.mt.
